Let’s jump right in to the month of May and all the activities that will take place before school concludes on May 17th!

Book Fair! Book Fair! Book Fair!
Our last Book Fair for the year is May 1-4! A round of applause with a tip of the hat goes to Janel McDowell and her faithful crew of Book Fair volunteers for their work to provide the Book Fair! The Book Fair will be open during the Home and School meeting on May 2nd.
Home and School meets on Tuesday, May 2nd at 7:00. This will be a big night as we honor all our Sacred Heart student winners! We will celebrate all the accomplishments of our students and enjoy refreshments together! Our Title 1 teacher Mrs. Beth Lickteig will be on hand with a display that explains the Title 1 program at Sacred Heart. There will be no babysitting because we want the children to sit with you to join in the year-end celebration!
Chihuahua’s will host its final Sacred Heart Night for this school year on Thursday, May 4th from 4-8 pm. Come out and enjoy a great meal! Thanks for supporting Sacred Heart!
All school parents are invited to the Young Adult Listening Session on Thursday, May 4th beginning with light refreshments at 6:30 in the gym lobby. We will conclude by 8:00. Your parish council is interested in the spiritual needs of parents and young adults, so plan to attend and share your insights. Babysitting is provided. Contact Sarah Eberhard for more information.
Field Day is scheduled for Friday, May 5th from 9:30-11:30. May 12th will be the rain date. Contact Mrs. Brown if you can help with this fun morning!
1st Holy Communion practice for 2nd grade students and their parents is Friday, May 5th at 6:00pm. Meet in the gym lobby. 1st Holy Communion is Saturday, May 6th at 1:00 in church. Congratulations to all our 1st Communicants! Our 2nd grade students will enjoy the day off on Monday, May 8th.
Calling all Volunteers! We appreciate you and we want to say thanks! If you have worked as a volunteer this year for our school, we want to invite you to a volunteer appreciation breakfast! It will be Wednesday, May 10th after 8:00 Mass. Please send a Fast Direct message to Joan Boessen to let us know if you plan to attend!
The St. Dominic Grade School band will serenade us on Thursday, May 11th at 10:15. We will enjoy hearing our talented band members as they show us what they can do!
The Youth Group Plant Sale will be held the weekend of May 5-7.
Yearbook order forms have been sent home. Books cost $14.00 with checks made out to Wagner. Due date for the forms is our last day of school, May 17th.
The Talent Show is Friday, May 12th in the afternoon. Start time is to be determined. We’ll send you a Fast Direct to let you know when to be in your seats to enjoy the many talents of our wonderful students!
Our Preschool students and their teachers will present their end of the year program for their parents and guests on Friday, May 12th at 7:00 pm in the gym.
Saturday, May 13th marks the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima. This day was the first of many appearances of Our Lady to the children of Fatima. Spend some time in prayer with your family to thank God for the blessings he has bestowed upon us!
All School Mass will be said on Tuesday, May 16th as we say farewell to our 8th grade students. The 8th grade tribute will begin at 9:30 in the gym. 8th Grade Promotion will take place on May 16th with Mass at 7:00 pm followed by a celebration reception and awards ceremony in the gym. We congratulate all our graduates and pray for them as they enter their high school years!
The last day of school is Wednesday, May 17th beginning with all school Mass at 8:00. All students need to dress in full Mass uniform-no dress down passes or birthdays. Dismissal is at 11:00 am. Report cards will be available on Friday, May 26th. Please note that all financial obligations must be completed in order to receive any report cards. This includes tuition, scrip, lunches, before and after school care and any other obligations.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the annual Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 20th beginning at 8:00. See the bulletin for more details. The Knights tournament directly supports the work of Sacred Heart School, so plan to get a team together and have a day of golf and fun!
Summer office hours for the month of June will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8-1. Scrip will be sold on Tuesday mornings after 8:00 Mass.
The office will be closed during July. We check phone messages and with the parish office to assist families with their needs.
